The Digital Scriptorium explores new forms of Christian proclamation at the intersection of rigorous biblical interpretation, Orthodox theology, poetry, visual and musical arts, and emerging technologies. These works do not replace the sermon or the traditional forms of preaching. They explore how the Word of God might also be heard beyond the pulpit, classroom, and seminary.

The biblical interpretation, theological vision, concept, and poems belong to the human author, while generative AI participates as a carefully directed instrument in the audiovisual realization.
The works gathered on this page are experiments in a new form of biblical proclamation: not an attempt to replace the human interpreter with artificial intelligence, but an exploration of what may happen when biblical exegesis, theology, poetry, visual imagination, music, and emerging digital technologies are brought into deliberate conversation.

Holy Cross Continuing Studies
The Continuing Education Program (CEP) is part of The Scriptorium Initiative at Holy Cross (TSI): Preaching and Teaching the Word of God Beyond the Seminary. Students enrolled in the Holy Cross CEP will have the opportunity that the seminary graduate students have, namely, learning about Orthodox faith, teaching, and spirituality from seasoned Orthodox professors and scholars. Nevertheless, most of the continuing education classes are offered by Holy Cross faculty.
